Dr. Malik's Asian, British, and US educational and cultural background leaves him uniquely qualified to help a diverse, international, and multicultural group of patients, many of whom benefit from his polyglot. As someone who grew up in Asia, lived in Canada and England, and studied in America he understands the unique emotional and cultural issues affecting expat mental health. Psychiatric interviews and treatment including psychotherapy is conducted in four languages; English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi. Whenever possible, Dr. Malik prefers to conduct the initial interview in person in his office in Santa Monica. Continuity of care and personalized follow-up is provided worldwide through periodic visits and electronic communications.
